What we do

Fibre is the nervous system of modern infrastructure. Get it right and it runs for decades; get it wrong and it degrades silently until a storm, a thermal cycle, or a maintenance dig exposes the work. We build fibre the way it should last.

Oxenex handles the full physical fibre layer: microduct installation and air-blown fibre deployment for long runs, fusion splicing with OTDR verification for every joint, and termination down to CPE activation at the customer endpoint. We service regional ISPs with volume contracts and enterprise clients with bespoke campus networks.

Our preference for air-blown fibre in retrofit urban environments — documented in our field notes — reflects the reality that most of the microducts we work with are not straight, not clean, and not geometrically cooperative. Pulling works on paper; air-blown installation works in practice.

Quality is the spec

Splicing loss is the single best indicator of a fibre job's quality. Our standard target is under 0.05 dB per splice, certified by OTDR trace for every connection. Any splice above that threshold gets redone. Traces are archived with the as-built documentation.

This sounds obvious. It's not always done. The pressure to finish faster and the temptation to sign off marginal splices are real. We don't.

Equipment is the difference

We use professional-grade fusion splicers, calibrated and maintained. Our crews are trained to IPC standards and certified. The cost of a good splice and a bad splice is nearly identical in materials; the difference is the hands and the tools.
